The Challenge

An industry-led statutory authority responsible for investing in research, development, and extension to support the long-term profitability of Australian grain growers. Since 2021, we have partnered with the client to help the organisation modernise its core digital platforms and public-facing services.

Our Expertise

The work spans initiatives aligned to the client’s strategic focus on research accessibility, operational transparency, and stakeholder engagement. These include the the client’s Metadata Catalogue – a structured platform for managing and publishing research metadata – and their portal, a stakeholder-facing website that consolidates content across the client’s digital environment.

We partnered with the client to enhance its digital platforms through end-to-end design, technical delivery, and strategic advisory.

The Solution

Metadata Catalogue Implementation

Designed and delivered a Metadata Catalogue, a structured platform that enhances research discoverability and governance by aligning metadata with national standards.

Consolidated Stakeholder Portal

Developed a React-based website (portal) that consolidates content and services from multiple backend systems using API integrations to simplify access and improve cross-platform consistency.

Addressing Key Challenges

Addressed common issues in content-rich environments, including metadata governance, discoverability, and platform modernisation.

Internal Enablement and Sustainability

Supported the internal client team with model design, training, documentation, and automated testing to reduce vendor reliance and support long-term platform ownership.

The Impact

Together, these programs demonstrate Elysium’s role as a trusted delivery partner, supporting GRDC’s goals through integrated, sustainable solutions that empower internal teams, improve governance, and enhance external engagement.

Our work enabled GRDC to independently manage and evolve its digital platforms, reducing vendor reliance and improving long-term sustainability. The delivered solutions enhanced content discoverability, streamlined stakeholder access, and established a scalable foundation aligned to national data and metadata standards.
